Meva Matter Tikki or Hariyali Tikki

Tasty snack made from peas and roasted lotus seeds!

Ingredients:

  • 1 /2 cup Lotus Seeds: Roasted & grind
  • 4cup Frozen Green Peas: Grind in the chopper
  • 2tbsp.Cashew Nuts: chopped
  • 1tbsp Chickpea flour, Dry Roasted
  • 2tbsp Raisens
  • 2tbsp Grated Cottage cheese (paneer)
  • 1green Chili: Finely Chopped
  • 1tbsp powder mix spice (Mace, Cardamom coriander & cumin, Roasted)
  • Coriander Leaves: 1 bunch (finely chopped)
  • Ginger: 1/2″ (peeled and Grated)
  • Salt: to taste
  • Red Chili Powder
  • optional Black Salt: pinch ½ tsp.
  • Jal Jeera powder for toppings
  • Ghee: for cooking
Method:
In a bowl take coarsely ground green peas, Lotus seed powder, salt, mix spice and chickpea flour mix well. Another bowl, take grated cheese, chopped cashew nut, raisin, black salt & add finely chopped Green Chilies, Red Chili Powder grated ginger. Mix all the ingredients well. •Divide the pea’s mixture into 6-8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a shape of tikki & fill the raisin cashew nut mixture and then press it in between your palm. Heat ghee in a shallow pan. Shallow-fry this tikki for both sides about 3to 4 minutes till it becomes golden brown. Sprinkle jaljeera powder, Serve hot with sweet chutney & Mint yogurt dip.
