Sprout Moong Salad

Sprouts are really wonder food and good source of high protein, fiber and vitamins.

You can easily make any kind of sprouts at home. Sprouts can be refrigerated for four or five days in a covered box. For making sprouts soak whole Moong (Green Beans) for 8 to 10 hrs. After soaking drain the water and wrap in wet kitchen towel. Keep it in a warm place or store in the oven, within a day or two, the beans will have sprouted. Use it in salad or making sandwich or cutlets. This is a super healthy food.


2cups sprouted Moong

1cup tomatoes, chopped

1tsp. oil

1/4tsp.turmeric powder

1/2tsp. pepper

Salt to taste

1tsp. lime juice

2tbsp. fresh coriander


Heat oil in a pan. Add turmeric powder and sprouted Moong, salt and 1/2cup water. Cover with lid and cook for 8-10 minutes. Remove from fire cool and mix remaining ingredients and serve.
