A very simple cake with fresh orange flavor! Feel free to decorate it as you wish but I like it as is with a cup of tea. You can serve with Jam or fresh cream also.
1/2Tin (200 gm.) condensed milk
200 gm. self-rising flour
1tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
125 gm. butter
150 ml fresh orange juice
2 tsp. orange zest
1/2tsp. Orange essence
4tbsp. Brown sugar
3/4cup Orange Juice
1- Sieve the flour with baking powder and baking soda.
2- Mix Butter and Condensed with electric hand beater till blended well.
3- Add flour and orange juice one by one and mix well.
4- Add orange zest and essence.
5- Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
6- Mix well and pour into prepared pan.
7- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
8- For sauce melt butter in a pan add sugar and juice, cook till little thick.
9- Serve cake topped with this sauce or any jam or fresh cream.
