Diwali is the one of the Hindu Festivals and most popular festival of India. Diwali is known as the ‘festival of lights’ because houses, shops and public places are decorated with small earthenware oil lamp called DIYA.DEEP means is Diya & AVLI means is line. The DEEPAWALI means ‘rows of lighted lamps’. This festival is Five days long to welcoming Lakshmi, Goddess of Wealth. People start & decorating house in advance, even they prepare sweets & snacks at home to welcome the guest. The festival celebrates the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance, although this five days long festival are different in different parts of India: but the celebration and lighting the house & cooking some traditional food are the same.
