SHIMLA MIRCH ACHARI
Bell Pepper is known as Shimla Mirch in India. Here is very simple recipe of Bell Pepper with Pickle flavor spices.
1 Medium size Shimla Mirch (Bell Pepper)
1tsp. Mustard seeds
1tsp. Chili Powder
1tbsp. Coriander powder
1tbsp. ready-made Pickle masala
2tbsp. Chick pea Flour (Besan)
1tsp. Dry Mango Powder
Salt to taste
Wash and chop Shimla Mirch or Bell pepper in to small cubes.
Heat Oil in the heavy bottom pan and add Mustard seeds.
When mustard seeds start to splutter add Shimla Mirch and turmeric powder. Sauté and add chick pea flour. Cover with lid for 2 minutes.
Add all the ingredients and mix well. Cover with lid and cook it for 2-3 minutes.
Serve hot with Rice or Roti; it’s a quick side dish.
