TOASTED ALMOND CHOCOLATE CAKE: VALENTINE SPECIAL

INGREDIENTS

1 cup Plain Flour

2 tbsp. Brown sugar

80 gm. Butter

80 gm Chocolate, Cooking

2/3 cup oil, butter or margarine

1 tsp vanilla powder

½ tsp. Baking soda

1tsp.Baking Powder

Pinch of Salt

3/4 cup milk

2tbsp. Slice Almonds

Heart shape Cake Tin, Optional

METHOD

Line the base of the tins with butter paper and spread the sliced almonds.

Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and transfer into a mixing bowl.

Melt Butter with chocolate cubes in the microwave for 40 seconds.

Mix it with brown sugar and beat in the stand mixer. Add milk and pulse again.

Add sieved flour and pulse till smooth. The batter looks almost glossy when done.

Pour the batter in the prepared tin.

Bake at 170 degree Centigrade for 30 minutes.

Let stand for five minutes then turn cake out of the tin. Serve as it is or with Fresh Strawberries.
