BASIL & CHEESE DINNER BUNS
Yesterday I baked these flavored buns, the combination of basil and cheese with carom seeds makes its super flavored buns. Here is the fool proof recipe of flavored buns. These buns are perfect for breakfast too.
FOR MAKING 10-12 ROLLS
3 cups Organic Bread Flour
4 tbsp. Cheese, grated
3 tbsp. fresh Basil, roughly chopped
2 tbsp. Olive oil
1 cup plus extra 1tbsp. warm water
2 tbsp. Sugar
1 ½ tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Carom Seeds
2 tsp. Dry Yeast, active
1 tbsp. Red Chili flakes
2 tbsp. Sunflower seeds
Butter for glazing and serving
In the big bowl take flour and make a well in the middle. Add all the ingredients step wise: Oil, Basil, and Sugar, salt, carom seeds, chili flakes and gradually warm water to make dough. You can use dough mixing machine, but I mixed it with hands. Add 1 tsp. water more if required. Finely mix with cheese and grease the dough ball with oil and cover it with cling film. Place in the warm place to rise.
After 2 hours grease both the hands with butter and divide the dough into 10-12 equal portions. Shape in to a ball and press 4-5 sunflower seeds on the top in each bun. Set in the tray or muffin mold and keep it again at warm place for 30-40 minutes.
Set oven at 200 degree centigrade and bake for 20 minutes. Remove and brush with Butter and serve with jam or butter.
