INGREDIENTS

1 Avocado

½ Green Capsicum, cubed

1 Green Apple, deseeded & cubed

½ cup Green grapes

½ cup Curly parsley

1 tsp. Ginger chopped

1 tsp. Orange zest

Pinch of sea salt

Pinch of Black Pepper

2 ½ cups Chilled water

METHOD

Peel avocado and sliced. Wash parsley and chopped. Combine all the ingredients in the blender and blend well till smooth, Serve immediately. Try to drink twice in a week to get gorgeous skin and happy stomach.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup Ready Made Red Velvet Cake Mix

2 tbsp. Rice Flour

1 tbsp. Beet Root Powder

½ tsp. Vanilla sugar

2 tbsp. Yogurt

Milk for Binding

Cooking spray for greasing the waffle Trays

Strawberries & Sour Cream for serving

METHOD

Mix all the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl and slowly add yogurt and milk to make smooth batter.

Grease waffle trays with cooking spray and heat. Spread the batter evenly in the waffle trays and cook the waffle for 8-10 minutes.  Remove gently and serve with sour cream & strawberries or pour some honey.DSC_0257

Home baked buns are real soft and tasty. Here is fool proof recipe for baking buns at home. I filled these buns with mozzarella, but you can fill with any other types of cheese. Baked with love and enjoy soft tender buns.

INGREDIENTS

3 cups Plain flour

1cup plus 2 tbsp. Water

3 tbsp. Olive Oil

1 tsp. yeast

1 tsp. Sugar

1 cup Mozzarella, grated

Sea Salt to taste

2 tbsp. Butter for brushing

METHOD

Warm water and stir with yeast and sugar. Keep aside for 2 minutes to activate the yeast. Fold flour with water and olive oil. Knead till smooth by hands or in the stand mixer. Cover the dough with cling film and keep aside for 1 ½ hours at the warm place. Once the dough is double add salt and knead again to make it smooth. Divide the dough in to equal portion about 16 pieces. Fill each bun with 2 tsp. grated mozzarella and seal it nicely. Arrange all the buns balls in the baking tray and keep it for 30 minutes. Heat the oven at 180 degree centigrade and brush each bun with melted butter and bake for 18 -20 minutes. Serve warm with soup or grilled vegetables.

Have Suhour to fill your body with protein and carbs to regulate blood sugar. Avoid fried & sugary food. Jallab is morning drink from Lebanon, Syria and Palestine. This drink is made of date & Grape molasses. You can add soaked almonds, pine nuts or raisins to make more delicious and healthy. Here I am sharing my recipe of Jallab. MY MORNING MELON MINT SMOOTHIE

A Complete refreshing drink for perfect morning, I am sure you all will like it and make it.

INGREDIENTS

1 Green Apple diced & cubes

2 cups Sweet Melon cubes

½ cup Fresh Mint Leaves

1 cup Chilled Mineral water

Pinch of Sea salt

Pinch of Mecca powder

METHOD

Blend all the ingredients in the smoothie maker till smooth, add more water if required and drink immediately.

Serves: 5-6

INGREDIENTS

2 cups Strong Bread Flour

1 ¼ cups warm water

1 tsp dried yeast

1 tbsp. Olive oil

Pinch of sugar

1 tsp. salt

½ tsp. freshly crushed pepper

2 tbsp. Black Olives, sliced

1 tbsp. Fresh Oregano, chopped

1 tbsp.  Fresh Parsley, chopped

METHOD

Mix warm water with yeast and sugar in the bowl and leave to stand for 5-7 minutes.

Heat the olive oil in the fry pan and fry parsley and oregano lightly for 30 seconds.

Sift the flour and make a well in the center. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to make dough. Gradually add water and oil to make soft dough. Add more water if necessary to make soft & elastic dough. Mix sliced olives and knead the dough on the floured surface for 5 minutes and place in the bowl. Cover it with cling film and leave in the warm place for 1 ½ hours. Lightly grease bread tin with oil and transfer the dough in the bread tin. Cover it and keep in the warm place for another 20 minutes.

Pre heat the oven at 220 degree centigrade and bake the loaf for 10 minutes, lower the temperature at 200 degree centigrade and bake for 18-20 minutes more. Cool it before serving.

FRIDAY BRUNCH DAL PAKWAN

Friday is the official holiday in Dubai and life is very calm and relaxed on Fridays. Life is slow, lazy, and cozy; people get up late generally specially on Fridays, Dal Pakwan is the popular late breakfast of Fridays in Dubai. Some of the small restaurants make this only on Fridays. Here is very simple recipe to make this crispy bread with boiled Chana dal to enjoy every day.

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ cup Soak Chana dal or Bengal Gram

2 tbsp. Moong dal, soaked

1 cup Chopped Tomatoes

1 tbsp. Oil

1 tsp. Cumin seeds

1 tsp. Turmeric powder

1 tbsp. Dry Pomegranate powder

Salt to taste

2 tbsp. Green Chilies, Chopped

2 tbsp. Ginger thinly sliced

½ cup Chopped Fresh Coriander

1 tbsp. Lime Juice

For Pakwan:

2 cups Plain Flour

2 tbsp. Oil

Salt to taste

1 tsp. Cumin Seeds

Oil for frying

METHOD

Wash 2-3 times soaked dal in the running water and keep aside. Heat pressure cooker and add oil and cumin seeds to crackle. Add all dry spices and ginger, chilies and tomatoes sauté and add both dals. Add salt and water and pressure cook it for 3 whistles, cool. Open the lid and stir with spoon. Adjust the consistency by adding little water and simmer for 4-5 minutes. Add lime juice and garnish with chopped coriander.

For Pakwan:

Take flour in the big bowl and salt, cumin, oil and rub it with the hands. Add water little by little to make semi hard dough. Cover with lid and keep aside for 20 minutes to rest it.

Divide the dough into lemon size balls and roll it in the circular shape. Prick it with forks. Heat oil in the frying pan, and deep fry all the rolled pakwans from both sides. Serve Hot with Dal.
